Performance per Pound (£)

Our core belief is that High-Performance hosting should be available to all. Therefore the Performance that you're gaining from each Pound (£) you're spending is the most important indicator that you're getting the best you can afford! The following test results are calculated from the Unixbench System Score (What's this?), divided by the Cost of the machine per month.

Single Core Machines

These results were produced from our Single Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 1 CPU Core, 1GiB RAM and 30GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 3x greater Performance per Pound compared to the nearest competitor, on average being 5x better value than all competitors.

Dual Core Machines

These results were produced from our Dual Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 2 CPU Cores, 2GiB RAM and 50GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 2.8x greater Performance per Pound compared to the nearest competitor alone, on average being over 5x better value than all competitors.

Quad Core Machines

These results were produced from our Quad Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 4 CPU Cores, 4GiB RAM and 100GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 3.2x greater Performance per Pound compared to the nearest competitor, on average being over 6.7x better value than all competitors.

8 Core Machines

These results were produced from our 8 Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 8 CPU Cores, 8GiB RAM and 200GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 5.1x greater Performance per Pound compared to the nearest competitor, on average being 7.3x better value than all competitors.

12 Core Machines

These results were produced from our 12 Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 12 CPU Cores, 12GiB RAM and 300GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 6.9x greater Performance per Pound compared to the nearest competitors, Linode and DigitalOcean, who show very little difference at this level.
