Sysbench CPU

Sysbench is a modular, cross-platform and multi-threaded benchmark tool for evaluating OS parameters that are important for a system running a database under intensive load. The idea of this benchmark suite is to quickly get an impression about system performance without setting up complex database benchmarks or even without installing a database at all. This section is regarding the CPU test included in Sysbench, run using the command :

sysbench --test=cpu --cpu-max-prime=20000
Important Note : The values here are the 95th percentile of execution time (ms). Therefore, LOWER is FASTER.

Single Core Machines

These results were produced from our Single Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 1 CPU Core, 1GiB RAM and 30GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 23% greater Execution Time compared to the nearest competitor, on average being 2.6x faster than all competitors.

Dual Core Machines

These results were produced from our Dual Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 2 CPU Cores, 2GiB RAM and 50GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 18% greater Execution Time compared to the nearest competitor, on average being 2.5x faster than all competitors.

Quad Core Machines

These results were produced from our Quad Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 4 CPU Cores, 4GiB RAM and 100GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 20% greater Execution Time compared to the nearest competitor alone, on average being 2.7x better value than all competitors.

8 Core Machines

These results were produced from our 8 Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 8 CPU Cores, 8GiB RAM and 200GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 20% greater Execution Time compared to the nearest competitor alone, on average being 2.7x faster than all competitors.

12 Core Machines

These results were produced from our 12 Core package, along with comparable machines from competitors.

All machines had 12 CPU Cores, 12GiB RAM and 300GiB Storage space, running Ubuntu.

The Critical Hosting machine shows 21% greater Execution Time compared to the nearest competitor.Linode and DigitalOcean only differ by 0.03ms, whereas Critical Hosting are 0.72ms faster than the fastest (Linode).
